COLOP Austria — Printer Line

Autostamp Plastic — Colop Printer R12

The COLOP Printer R12 is a compact, lightweight, plastic-bodied self-inking round stamp manufactured by COLOP Stempelerzeugung Skopek GmbH & Co. KG of Austria — one of the world's leading producers of professional stamping solutions. The R12 is the smallest model in the COLOP round Printer series, producing a circular impression of 12 mm diameter, and is designed for precise, clean, and repeatable marking of logos, initials, inspection marks, loyalty card stamps, and short text codes.

Engineered with COLOP's innovative precision frame mechanism, the Printer R12 delivers high-quality, consistent impressions with a smooth, quiet action on every use. The integrated self-inking pad eliminates the need for a separate ink pad while providing thousands of clear impressions per fill. A laser-engraved rubber die and a refillable water-based ink system make the R12 both accurate and economical for ongoing use in office, commercial, and light industrial applications.

Impression Area

The Printer R12 produces a circular impression of 12 mm in diameter — equivalent to approximately ½ inch. This compact format is well suited to logo stamps, initial marks, inspection passes, loyalty card stamps, and short two-line text codes where a small, emphatic circular mark is required.

The circular die area accommodates text arranged around the perimeter and in the centre, or a simple logo or monogram design in the full 12 mm space. For maximum legibility, a single icon or two short lines of text are recommended within this impression size.

Available Ink Colours

Black
Standard for office, inspection, and general documentation marking.
Blue
Common in administrative, banking, and commercial document stamping.
Red
Rejection, urgent status, priority marking, and attention indicators.
Green
Approved, quality passed, and compliance or inspection clearance marking.
Purple
Secondary category coding, reference stamps, and differentiated mark sets.

Key Features

  • COLOP's innovative precision frame mechanism provides smooth, quiet, and accurately guided press action for consistent, high-quality impressions on every use.
  • Laser-engraved rubber die delivers sharp, fine-detail impressions — suitable for logos, monograms, and short text codes where impression clarity is important.
  • Self-inking pad eliminates the need for a separate ink pad, providing a clean and convenient stamping experience with minimal set-up time.
  • Refillable water-based ink pad accepts COLOP 801 refill ink, reducing ongoing consumable cost and extending the working life of the stamp.
  • Spare ink pad (COLOP E/R12) is readily available for replacement when the pad becomes worn, ensuring consistently clear impressions throughout the stamp's service life.
  • Pen-style clip on the body allows the Printer R12 to be carried in a pocket or bag, making it particularly convenient for field inspectors, quality technicians, and mobile users.
  • Indexing window on the handle displays a reference image of the stamp impression for quick identification when multiple stamps are in use.

Typical Applications

The COLOP Printer R12 is well suited to applications where a compact, circular mark is required. In commercial settings, it is widely used as a loyalty card stamp, coffee shop mark, and promotional impression stamp. In industrial and quality environments, it is used for inspection approval marks, quality passed stamps, batch codes, and small logo identification on documents, labels, and tags.

Its small size and clip-on portability make it a practical choice for inspectors, technicians, and supervisors who require a personal approval or identification stamp available at all times. It is equally suited to office use for initials stamps, personal marks, and administrative coding on documents and correspondence.

The COLOP Printer R12 is designed for use on standard paper and card surfaces with water-based ink. For marking on glossy, coated, or non-porous surfaces, a compatible permanent or quick-dry ink formulation should be used in place of the standard pad. Always re-ink using COLOP 801 refill ink of the same colour as the original pad — do not mix different ink colours within the same pad. Store the stamp in the closed position when not in use to prevent the ink pad from drying out. Replacement pads (E/R12) are available in all standard ink colours.
